Keep, redeploy or retire

Give every device a documented destination.

Return to service

Assess condition and value before replacing useful equipment. Approve repairs, upgrades or preparation per device.

Prepare for the next user

Agree the organisation’s data-retention requirements before erasure. Remove management enrolment only with authority and prepare the accepted device configuration.

Retire responsibly

Choose sanitisation or a specialist destruction route based on the media and required assurance. Recycling and resale arrangements are separately agreed; no residual value is assumed.

Data handling

An erasure record for each processed drive.

Logical sanitisation starts at C$49 per supported, functioning storage device. The work order records the media identifier, authorised method, completion or failure and validation result. Failed or unsupported drives are isolated for a separately approved route.

Formatting a disk or reinstalling an operating system is not a substitute for a suitable sanitisation method. The appropriate method depends on media type, sensitivity and intended reuse. A specialist physical destruction service is separately quoted; it is not included in a pickup fee.

Before collection, remove devices from active use, confirm ownership and authority, identify records that must be retained and provide an asset list. Never include passwords in a public request.

Practical boundaries

Designed for planned work.

No. The route is for scheduled device movements and approved preparation. Urgent repairs, on-site troubleshooting and business continuity work are separately scoped.

Larger batches, monitors, servers, stairs, heavy items or locations beyond the included radius require a quote. The booking confirms the load and access arrangements before payment.

Any buyback or consignment requires a separate written offer identifying the devices, ownership, fees and settlement. The route fee does not promise a resale value.

The proposed plan is month to month. Give notice before the next billing period; no annual commitment is required. The accepted service agreement confirms the billing date and final device return arrangements.
