Repair the computer you know.
We assess all makes of laptop, desktop and all-in-one computer. Explain the fault, the exact model and the files you need to protect.
What needs attention?
Hardware, software and data.
Cracked panels, flicker, black screens, hinges, keyboards, trackpads and damaged ports.
A cracked panel, flicker, lines, or a stiff hinge can have different causes. Tell us when it began and whether the picture changes as the lid moves. Avoid forcing a resistant hinge; the panel, cable, hinge mounts, and surrounding case need to be checked before a repair is quoted.
A hinge can remain intact while the plastic or metal mounts around it fail. The panel, display cable, lid cover and palmrest are checked together. The quote identifies which assembly needs replacement.
Choose an estimateCharging problems, failed startup, battery faults and liquid damage. The diagnosis determines whether a part or board-level repair is appropriate.
For a computer that will not start, note the charger used and any charging light, fan, keyboard light, or startup sound. Mention a recent outage, drop, or accessory change. If there was liquid exposure or a burning smell, disconnect power and stop trying to start it; explain that before arranging an assessment.
No startup image is not the same as an operating-system fault. The initial checks separate power delivery, startup hardware, firmware and storage. Any proposed reinstall or data-erasing step requires separate approval.
Fan noise, excessive heat, freezes, slow startup, storage and memory upgrades, subject to model support.
Describe when the fan gets loud or the case becomes hot: at startup, during a particular task, or after the vents are covered. Note any recent slowdown or shutdown. Use a hard, clear surface and save your work if temperatures seem unusual; inspection determines whether airflow, dust, software load, or another part needs attention.
Gaming laptops may have separate CPU and GPU cooling paths, shared heat pipes or a vapour chamber. Fan operation, airflow, heatsink contact and the reported workload all matter; a louder fan alone does not identify the failed part.
Windows, macOS and Chromebook problems, operating system setup, application issues and migration planning.
Describe the exact error and the last successful startup. We separate user-account, storage, update and application faults before proposing a repair. Existing data is preserved where possible; wiping a drive is a separate decision, never an automatic first step.
Lost files, inaccessible storage and failed drives. Tell us first if recovering the data matters more than repairing the computer.
Explain whether the files are the priority before authorising repairs. Avoid repeated power cycles, repair utilities or copying onto the affected drive. The assessment can distinguish a logical problem from a controller, electronics or mechanical fault before proposing the recovery scope.
Workstations, gaming builds, office systems, docks and peripherals. Bring the configuration and a clear description of the fault.
Include the model, connected accessories and the task that triggers the problem. An intermittent fault may need its charger, dock or workload to reproduce it. The findings and proposed parts are recorded before you approve the work.
